Gustav Stresemann and the Dawes plan

Summary: During this time Germany was going through hyper inflation and Gustav Stresemann brought in the new currency which was called the Retenmark, to help pay back the reparations owed to France. The dawes plan was also set into action to pay France back.
The Dawes plan
- America was to lend Germany money
- Germans used the money received to make work projects
- They would also receive income tax and would pay France back
- France would take that money and repay War loans to the US
- USA receives all of their money
